Obituary

Mary Lucia Putman, lovingly known as Mary Lou, was born on September 5, 1950, in Lorain, Ohio, to Frank and Margaret Uliano, and passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Mary Lou was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister whose life was guided by her deep faith as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She loved the Bible and found great joy in teaching others about God’s promises, especially the hope of a future paradise earth where peace, justice, and everlasting life will prevail. Sharing this hope was central to who she was, and she did so with sincerity, kindness, and conviction.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce Richard Putman; her children, Tabitha Reed and her husband Jeremy; Micah Putman and his wife Jackalynn, along with their four cherished children, Esther, Naomi, Phoebe, and Keziah, who brought her immense joy; and Timothy Putman and his wife Josannah. She is also survived by her brother, Frank Uliano and his wife Maria, and their four children; and her sister-in-law, JoAnne Luiz. She was preceded in death by her brother, Nicholas Uliano.

Mary Lou will be remembered for her care, her steadfast devotion to her family, and her unwavering faith. She delighted in her role as a grandmother, treasuring every moment spent with her grandchildren. Her life reflected her love for Jehovah, her compassion for others, and her confidence in the Bible’s promises. Though she will be deeply missed, her family takes comfort in the hope she cherished and shared so freely.

I will always remember Mary Lou as zealous in the ministry, always ready to go out or share words of faith with everyone she met. One of her shining accomplishments is raising her three children to serve Jehovah faithfully. For a mother. . . . There is no greater joy - 3 John 4. Soon your tears of grief will be out numbered by your tears of joy when you welcome her back in the resurrection. May Jehovahs spirit and promises comfort and strengthen you as you endure this great loss.
