Obituary

Helen passed away on December 21, 2025, at Jefferson Hospital, surrounded by her loving daughters and family, after bravely battling multiple health issues.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Ricky; her parents, Alice Mae Kropilak and Lawrence Michael Kropilak; her sister, Darlene Marshall; and her brothers, John Kropilak, Cliff Marshall, and Joe Marshall.

She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Reichner (David) and Jessica Reichner (Stephanie); her granddaughter, Abigail Willis; her sisters, Rosemary Sargent (Robert) and Jane Marshall; and her brothers, Alex Marshall, Lawrence Kropilak (Rhonda), and William Kropilak (Faith). She is also survived by her in-laws, William Reichner, Michele Reichner, Claudine Townsend (Barry), and Kevin Bender, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt, and friend—one of the warmest and kindest souls you could ever meet. Helen consistently put others before herself and never hesitated to help when she was needed. This selflessness was reflected in her more than 40-year career as a nurse in long-term care, where she truly loved her work and deeply cared for her patients.

When she wasn’t working, Helen could often be found surrounded by family and friends in the kitchen, preparing her famous dishes to share. She also enjoyed camping and curling up with a good book, but nothing in her life mattered more to her than her family.

Helen is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Rick, for all of eternity.
