Obituary

Charles S. Schneider (Chuck) went Home to be with his Savior on 8/6/2026. He was 82 years old. He passed peacefully at home with his wife by his side.

He was born in Manhattan,NY to his parents, the late Leo and Dorothy Schneider. He grew up in Queens NY with his late sister, Helene Suzann and his brother, Elliott Schneider of Parksville, NY.

Chuck was very proud of his Jewish heritage and came to accept Jesus as his Messiah-his Lord and Savior. He loved that Jesus was Jewish.

Chuck spent the early years of his career working on Wall Street. He later moved to East Windsor NJ and started his own limo business, Charles Limo Service. He maintained his successful business for many years before retiring to Southampton NJ.

Chuck loved old cars and he loved the “oldies”. In high school, he and some of his friends formed a group and would sing Doo Wop songs in the cafeteria at school. They were fond memories for him. He was an avid golfer who loved to play as often as he could. He was always happy and willing to share any pointers he could give to family and friends. He made sure he kept his golf day open because he didn’t want anything to interfere with that. He won the Red Lion Golf Association championship in 2020. He was able to continue to play until about a year ago and never gave up hope that he would get out on the course again.

He was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Joan. They were so blessed to have found each other and God blessed them with 26 wonderful years of marriage. Joan’s family also became his family and he was always so honored to be called “Poppy” by his grandchildren.

Chuck had such a kind heart and had the gift of being able to love unconditionally. He was a true friend and was always happy and willing to help out family and friends whenever he was needed. His love, kindness, humility and sense of humor will always be remembered and cherished.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Joan; stepdaughter and her husband, Kristi and Jim McCormick; stepson and his wife, Sean and Heather McGarigle; grandchildren, Conner,Makayla, Aiden, Macy, Michael, Colin and Leah; his dear brother, Elliott Schneider; half brother and sister, Mitchell and Sonya Schneider; nieces Robin Schiller and Michelle Greenfield; nephews, Owen and Austin Schneider; brother-in-law (and best friend), Keith Bush and several cousins, step-nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at Calvary Chapel of Marlton, 55 East Main Street, Marlton, NJ 08053 on Saturday, August 15, 2026. Visitation will begin at 11 am, followed by a service at 12.
