Susan M Cashmere
Date of Death: March 23, 2019
Born on February 6, 1962, Susan M Cashmere completed her journey and returned home in the early morning hours of March 23, 2019. She was the daughter of Andrew and Margaret Cashmere and spent her childhood in Philadelphia and most of her adult life in Brigantine, NJ. Even as a young child Susan showed signs of being a gifted artist and after graduating from high school she furthered her talent by studying at the Art Institute of Philadelphia. She was commissioned by businesses in Philadelphia and New Jersey for print advertising work. Additionally she worked at Tropicana as a cocktail waitress for 27 years, retiring after feeling the early effects of small cell lung cancer. Susan rarely complained of the emotional and physical pain brought about by receiving such a staggering diagnosis. She is survived by her son Andrew Cashmere, whom her world revolved around, her sister Cathy Cashmere, and hundreds of family, friends and co workers that loved her. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, sweetness, and her own unique silliness. A mass will be held at 11am on Wednesday, April 3 at St Thomas the Apostle Church 331 South 8th Street, Brigantine, NJ, visitors are welcome to arrive beginning at 10am for a gathering. In lieu of flowers Susan requested donations to South Jersey Cancer Fund, P.O. Box 1084, Brigantine, NJ 08203 or sjcancer-fund.org. SJCF. A celebration of life will be held at the Brigantine Elks Lodge, 400 W. Shore Dr., Brigantine NJ. All are welcome to come and share memories, food, laughter and joy.
