Justen Alexander Horvath 8/16/81 - 9/14/20 On Monday, September 14, 2020, Justen Alexander Horvath’s spirit and soul left his earthly body, he was 39. Our sadness can only be lightened by hoping that he now can rest in peace for eternity. He had a sensitive and kind heart that was forever ready for fun. He had special passions for fishing and the outdoors. He collected unique sticks and stones, he learned how to survive in nature, he carved and fashioned primitive tools out of natural materials. As a child he was an amazing athlete, as he got older he loved motorcycles and 3-wheeling, he became an expert snowboarder, and always was pushing the speed of everything he did all-out. He made us proud by joining the Air Force and excelling during boot camp. He had natural artistry with his eyes and hands and learned how to create beautiful tile work in bathrooms and kitchens. His self taught pencil artistry left us many beautiful sketches to admire. He could play the drums and the guitar but had a special love for his karaoke voice and spent many hours into the late of night singing heartfelt songs near a blazing fire. He had an immense fascination with the universe and always waited anxiously for the aliens to come for him. He suffered many life changing heartbreaks in his later years, losing his longtime best friend Brett and his young sister Shonna’s tragic cardiac arrest. He always told people of his dream of having his own family to love someday. Justen is survived by his mother and father, Sandy and Cherie Horvath of East Brunswick, NJ, his oldest sister Alivia Leigh Horvath and her husband Craig McWhinney of Sterling, CO, another older sister Kira Ayn Vos, her husband Andrew Vos, and their two beautiful boys, Luka James and Bodhi Aloysius, and his younger “best-friend” sister Shonna Maraye of East Brunswick, NJ. He has 11 aunts and uncles, 22 loving cousins, and 2 young nephews that will all miss him at family gatherings. There will be a “Goodbye Gathering” on Saturday, October 3rd, 2020 at his favorite place on earth, the place he referred to as his paradise, Honey Cove, 539 Riva Avenue, East Brunswick, NJ. The event will start at 1:00 pm and end at 4:00 pm. There will be a short memorial service at 1:30 pm. There will be food and refreshments but not a full luncheon. We kindly request no alcohol. Anybody who knew Justen and Honey Cove are welcome to join us, no reply is necessary, simply come and say goodbye. Hope to see you here and thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. Covid protocol will be determined by each individual. In lieu of flowers we wish that you would make a donation to any substance abuse program that you find fitting.
