Genevieve Lucretia Cedervall Obituary 1940-2020 Genevieve “Genny” Cedervall of Rahway, New Jersey was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at the age of 79. She was one of the unfortunate victims of COVID-19 and passed at JFK Hospital, Edison, New Jersey. Genny was born in  Jersey City, NJ to Joseph and Antoinette McGeehan on October 28, 1940 at only 28 weeks. Due to her premature birth, she wasn’t expected to even live, but not only did she survive, she went on to live an amazing life that inspired all those around her. She was kind and generous to all, and never met a stranger. She married her first husband, Peter Charewycz, in 1960, and her second, Paul Cedervall, on April 10, 1977. She was a loving mother to seven children, ten grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.  She is survived by her children Joseph Charewycz, Patricia (Charlie) Todd, Genevieve (Tom) Prapuolenis, Mary Charewycz; and Christine (George) Chronis; her grandchildren Kane, Kurt, and Krissi Theissen, Danielle Manning, Leah Akoni, Hope, Harry, and Paul Chronis, Antoinette and Caroline Todd; her great grandchildren Aiden Prapuolenis and Rylee Glova; and her siblings Timothy McGeehan and Joanna Haritos. She is preceded in death by her parents, her spouses Peter Charewycz and Paul Cedervall, her children Peter and John Charewycz, and her sister Frances Kemple. Her memorial service has been postponed until the quarantine lifts and her family is able to gather in her honor.   Genny was truly one of a kind, always genuine and unafraid to speak her mind. The wild tapestry of tales that she both told and lived brought a smile to many faces. She was and will continue to be the best part of many stories.   Isaiah 25:8a “He will swallow up death forever, and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces.”
