On Friday February 28, 2020, Barbara Fiori (Lloyd), loving mother to daughter Amanda Fiori, passed away at the age of 68. Barbara was born November 30, 1951 in Scranton PA. She went to the University of West Chester where she received her Teaching Degree for both Music and later finished credits for Special Education. She worked for Upper Deerfield Township schools at both Moore and Woodruff School in Bridgeton, NJ. She spent 35 years teaching there with her school family and loved every moment of it. She loved to teach, it was her passion and her desire to help students reach for the stars. Whatever my mom could give, she would, whether that was her time, patience (she was a Saint), money, or her wickedly good humor; she would do her best to put her energy into everything she did including raising me. My mom loved listening to music, classical was her favorite but she also loved the music she grew up with. My mom was a free spirit, she loved reading books so that her imagination could take her where she had never been. My mom loved to crochet and in the last years of her life she made it her full time hobby to make little creations, blankets, mittens/scarves etc. She loved playing the piano when she could and helping me to cook. My mom loved life even when things didn't go as planned, she'd answer despair with humor so that she could laugh instead of cry. She worried often and I know she was stubborn, but she did what she thought was best for everyone even if she made mistakes. She was happy to be apart of someone's heart travels and she was my very best friend. I could talk to her about anything and everything, she would listen and then we'd have a pun war together and innuendo jokes, my mother wasn't shy about anything. I will miss her terribly, she touched the lives of everyone around her and I know I'm not the only one mourning her right now, she was unforgettable and one of a kind. Barbara was preceded in death by her Mother: Ruth K Lloyd and her Father Wilbur Lloyd. She is survived by her daughter Amanda Fiori. Caretakers and Sons George Tomaszek and Mark Russell. She is survived by two sisters Janice Rush and Karen Bowman, nephews Peter Rush, David Rush, Zach Bowman, cousins special family members and close friends. Plus a very special Lab Grandpup named Carson whom she called Her Butterscotch Butterball. She is also survived by all her friends at the Upper Deerfield Township Schools where she served as a Teacher for many years, her school was her family too. My mother was cremated. Her ashes will be spread across America (one big road trip). A party is yet to be announced but when one is, people will be notified. My mom wanted a party not a funeral. In lieu of flowers. Donations can be made to a Gofundme set up by the family for expenses. Cards can be sent to: 3311 Avalon Ct Voorhees, NJ 08043
